Scribe Bloom — a personal blog by Caleb, from Clementi, Singapore

Pages I let open slowly, on the evenings that allow it.

This porch is not a shopfront and not a studio — it is the place I leave pages open when the evening allows it. I live in Clementi, keep slow weekends, drink kopi at the same counter more often than I admit, and walk the park connector when the west coast sky turns the colour of pressed petals. Scribe Bloom is a shelf of notes about ordinary Singapore days: the MRT platform when the crowd thins, the hawker stairs before the shutters rise, the reading lamp by my window while the block settles. One note carries more weight than the others — a memory of 12 November 2025 near Chin Swee — and it sits at the root URL the way a heavier book sits at the end of a row, without a ribbon or a badge calling it special.

From My End of New Bridge Road

Sirens from Pearl's Hill to Chin Swee — the bus I never caught, and what I saw from a distance without pretending to know more.

The Second Cup I Did Not Plan

Morning kopi at the Clementi kopitiam — the uncle who pours before I finish ordering, and the queue that moves like a page turning.

Benches Facing the Water

West Coast Park after rain — Pandan canal wind, moss on the bench slats, the tide line memory of a slower afternoon.

Pandan, With the Wind Turned

An MRT platform at a quiet hour — tree shadow on the tiles, a bicycle bell two blocks away, the city breathing through vents.

The Fold in a Paperback

Evening reading by my Clementi window — the block humming, the kettle finding its note, a habit pressed flat like a leaf.

Five Steps Before the Stalls Wake

Hawker-centre stairs at dawn — vendors setting up, the smell of soup stock, the moss-green of wet concrete under fluorescent light.
